Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse business law firm, is pleased to announce that firm partner Michelle G. Ortiz has been promoted to a Business Unit Leader of the firm’s Family Law and First Party Insurance units in Miami. She, along with existing Business Unit Leader Eric Gressman, will lead the charge in the firm’s Miami office.

Ortiz has litigated more than 150 non-jury trials in Family Law Court. As a leader in her field, she has lectured on domestic violence, stalking and sexual abuse issues and serves as a community advocate providing family law services and training to victims of domestic violence in South Florida.

In addition to her vast experience in Family Law, Ortiz has a decade of experience in First Party Insurance, handling matters involving first party property claims, commercial premises liability, professional liability and automobile negligence. She excels in creating case strategies that result in successful resolution of complex matters. She has successfully argued motions for summary judgment, dismissals with prejudice and special set evidentiary hearings all resulting in favorable outcomes for her clients.

Ortiz graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she graduated in the top 5 percent of her class. Ortiz is admitted to practice in Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
