100 Percent of Net Proceeds Donated to Hope 4 Hope Town’s Abaco Islands Relief Fund; Event Sponsorships Available

Who/What: Approximately 400 guests are expected to attend the second annual South Florida Independent Retailer Awards, which will focus on the exceptional small businesses that make South Florida’s shopping centers unique. The event - which has a mission to bring expanding local independent retailers together with the shopping center community - will feature networking, programming, an awards program with live voting, and a networking lunch. Sponsorships ranging from $1,500 to $10,000 are available. Due to the dire need of assistance in the Abaco Islands after Hurricane Dorian, one hundred percent of the event’s net proceeds will be donated to Hope 4 Hope Town to help those devastated in the Northern Bahamian Islands.

Awards will be presented in 11 categories, with three or four nominees in each. Categories include fitness, medical retail, coffee shop, nail salon, education, athletic retail, and a variety of restaurant categories. All nominees must be a truly independent retailer (not a national chain), with two or more locations and actively expanding. The owner/manager needs to be present for the entire Sept. 19 event.
