On May 24, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio visited Rising Tide Car Wash in Margate, Florida and named the car wash U.S. Senate Small Business of the Week. He honored the car wash with a congressional record for their incredible work over the past 6 years.

Founded in 2013, Rising Tide Car Wash is a South-Florida-based scalable social enterprise with the primary mission to employ persons with autism. There are two locations in Parkland and Margate.By delivering a first-rate car wash experience, Rising Tide strives to inspire communities to change their perception of the capabilities of people with autism.

The concept was developed as co-founders John and Tom D’Eri were inspired as they watched John’s son and Tom’s brother, Andrew, a vibrant young man with Autism, struggle to find his place in the world. In nationwide comparison, Rising Tide is the largest single store retail employer of individuals with autism in the U.S. with 80+ employees and among the first consumer brands in the nation focused on empowering young adults with autism.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Senator Rubio continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. The Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship oversees proposed legislation on matters relating to the Small Business Administration and investigates all problems relating to America’s small businesses.
