Entrepreneurs’ Organization - South Florida (EO SOFLO) has appointed a new president and board of directors to lead the group that fosters entrepreneurship and economic development in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

EO SOFLO is one of the world’s largest EO chapters, with 190 members who run businesses that account for more than $2 billion in yearly revenues and 10,000 jobs in this region.    Worldwide, EO has more than 12,000 members – all of whom are majority shareholders of businesses with at least $1 million in annual revenue -- in more than 50 countries.

The new South Florida chapter president is Jerry Katz, founder of Fort Lauderdale-based Premier Protection Insurance.

New board members include: Jason Beukema of Whet Travel; Jason Bowen of Consumer Information Bureau; Josh Davis of Relevate Health Group; Goran Dragoslavic of Community 8 Properties; Abram Finkelstein of StaffLink Outsourcing; Eloise Gonzalez of Commercial Interior Contractors; Dave Kustin and Wendy Lieber of ContentBacon; Jason Loeb of Sudsies; Evan Nierman of Red Banyan; Darren Seys of Peak Seven Advertising; Scott Silver of Silver Law Group; Adam Stein of SteinPosner Real Estate Services; David Tuaty of Poggesi USA; Frido Van Mossel of Mytulus, LLC; Tim Vogel of Scenthound Holdings; and Peter Zuckerman of Z Media.

“Jerry and the new board members are smart, high-energy entrepreneurs who will deliver keen leadership to the organization and the entire South Florida entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Aaron Lee of iluma agency, who is stepping down from his two-year term as chapter president. 

EO presents frequent peer-to-peer learning and experience forums for members; sponsors student and start-up entrepreneurship competitions; partners with area colleges and business incubators and coordinates many other programs for business growth across South Florida.

Members in 2018 have won top local business awards from organizations such as the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and eMerge Americas, and one recently sold his Miami business for $30 million.
