AmTrust Title Insurance Company has hired a key team in Maitland, Florida from one of its largest competitors to oversee its expansion into the Caribbean and Latin American and to develop its base of operations in the Southeast United States.

Jennifer Cruise has been appointed regional manager for the Southeast and manager of international operations with Edward Hamann Esq. overseeing international underwriting as well as regional underwriting responsibilities in Ms. Cruise’s region.Together, they have over 30 years of title insurance experience domestically and internationally.The duo has a reputation in the commercial real estate community as the experts in offshore title insurance.Metta Grier also joins the group with her more than 12 years of closing coordination, underwriting and examining experience.

Mr. Hamann, who is a native Spanish speaker, will take over as Chief International Underwriter as well as joining Kevin Thomas as regional counsel for the Southeast region, including Florida, Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas.Prior to joining AmTrust Title, he was Vice President, State Underwriting Counsel for Fidelity National Title Group serving the markets of Florida, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America. While there, he focused on developing bilingual underwriting protocols and country due diligence platforms as well as underwriting and escrow protocols for a variety of international jurisdictions.He launched his career as an associate with Maitland, FL-based Clayton & McCulloh PA.He earned a BA degree from Rollins College, an MS degree in industrial/organizational psychology from University of Central Florida and a J.D. degree from University of Florida, College of Law.

Ms. Cruise brings with her more than 17 years of experience in the title industry specializing in financial analysis, operations, personnel management and sales.Ms. Cruise will oversee the Southeast Region & Caribbean/Latin America at AmTrust Title.Most recently, she was Manager, Florida Agency Commercial Services with Fidelity National Title Group & also Manager of Caribbean Agency, where she had operational responsibility for the Caribbean and Latin America.She earned a BS degree from the University of Hawaii and Missouri State University.

Metta Grier joins AmTrust Title with 12 years’ experience in the title industry.Her expertise is in commercial transaction management and commercial closings, both internationally and in Florida, as well as agency management and administration in the Caribbean.She earned a BS degree from University of Tennessee – Chattanooga and an MSW from University of Central Florida.
