Michael D. Mopsick Receives The Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Professionalism Award

Veteran Attorney at Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann Honored

Michael D. Mopsick, of counsel with Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann, P.A., has received the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Sidney A. Stubbs Professionalism Award for 2017.  The award was presented during the luncheon at the Association’s annual Bench Bar Conference on March 10.

For the last nineteen years, the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Professionalism Committee has recognized through this award an attorney that has demonstrated outstanding professionalism and exemplary ethical conduct, character and integrity and who has maintained the highest levels of professional competence, courtesy and civility and commitment to serving clients, the community and the public good.

“I’m honored to receive this prestigious recognition and to represent our firm as a whole,” said Mopsick. “I am very proud of the culture of professionalism at Shapiro Blasi; everyone strives to deliver the highest quality work to our clients, and I’m grateful to be a part of such a strong group of dedicated professionals.”

This is not the first time Mopsick has been recognized for his work in the legal realm. He has been recognized since 2007 as one of the Top Lawyers in South Florida by the South Florida Legal Guide and he has been listed in Florida Super Lawyers magazine, as voted by his peers. Additionally, he holds the prestigious AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell.

In his 45 years of practice, Mopsick has represented clients at all levels of trust, probate, and guardianship disputes, from advising and counseling beneficiaries and pursuing beneficiary claims to defending fiduciaries in complex trust and estate litigation. His experience also includes a broad range of business and commercial litigation, and he is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

Mopsick had held several leadership roles throughout his career. Among these, he is Past President of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association , served on the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and served two terms as Co-Chair of its Professionalism Committee  He also served as Chair of two Florida Bar Grievance Committees for Palm Beach County.
