AscendWilton 24th Street LLC developers, Wilton Manors city officials and other community notables came together to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Metropolitan Apartments, a 179-unit avant-garde-style development located at 1220 NE 24th St. A luxe condominium-grade project by AscendWilton 24th Street LLC, an affiliate of Ascend Properties (www.yesascend.com), Metropolitan is an iconic $35 million development continuing the urbanization of Wilton Manors’ “eastern gateway.”

In attendance at the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony were Ascend Properties Founders Richard Finkelstein, Michael Wohl and Dean Borg; in addition to Wilton Manors Mayor Gary Resnick, Vice Mayor Scott Newton, and City Commissioners Justin S. Flippen, Tom Green and Julie Carson.

The first new apartment development to open within a several mile radius in almost 10 years, Metropolitan is already home to about 35 families, and 70 of the units have been leased. It’s only two blocks from the intimate cafés, chic boutiques, and art galleries of legendary Wilton Drive; and just south of Five Points.

Featuring 10 spacious, smart floor plans ranging from studios to three bedrooms, Metropolitan showcases timeless modern architecture, luxurious finishes and resort-style amenities, invoking a tranquil feel, reflecting the needs of its clientele. It is designed by acclaimed MSA Architects in Miami with interior design by The Design Club, Boca Raton.

Ascend Wilton 24th Street LLC not only built the property, but also handles the leasing operations, and continues to own the building as a long-term portfolio asset.

“By investing a significant amount of capital and a great deal of time Metropolitan to make it unique, we’ve created a property that has raised the bar for quality in the market,” said the developers. “We are very pleased to have unveiled this amazing development.”

Metropolitan’s features include a peaceful art park, cutting-edge dog park, herb garden which residents can enjoy and use, charging station for electric cars, fleet of bicycles for resident use, and much more. Ascend Wilton 24th Street LLC preserved and maintained dozens of 50-year-old, 30-foot-tall existing native Florida slash pine trees throughout the 7-acre, campus-like property.

Resort-style amenities include a pool and hot tub, clubhouse with Wi-Fi access and big-screen TVs, fitness and yoga studios, and a massage room. Residents will enjoy periodic events, cooking classes, numerous charitable events (the community is encouraged to use Metropolitan’s facilities for charitable events), Sunday brunch and more.

Units include granite countertops, terraces, open kitchens, spa showers and many other desirable features.

Monthly leasing fees range from $1,395–$3,200. For more information, visit wiltonmetro.com or contact 844.779.6066 or live@wiltonmetro.com.
