LRM Industries International Raises $4.4M of $5.5M – cbl

ROCKLEDGE -- According to an SEC filing, LRM Industries International Inc. has raised $4.4 million out of a total offering of $5.5million in equity.
The Rockledge-based company, which was founded in 1996, produces fiber-reinforced structural thermoplastic parts for use in wood, metal, and concrete components in the United States and internationally.
The company was formerly known as LRM Industries LLC and changed its name to LRM Industries International Inc. in July 2009
Principals named in the Reg D filing are Chairman E. Gary Cook, CEO Jim Callough, executive officer Christine Nowak, and directors Donald DeVivo, Mary Estabil, Robert Winters and Dale Polk Jr.

E. Gary Cook Ph.D. served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Witco Corp., a Global Specialty Chemicals Company since 1996 until the merger of Witco and Crompton and Knowles in 1999. Dr. Cook served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Albemarle Corporation, a Global Specialty Chemicals Company spun off from Ethyl Corporation in 1994, from March 1994 to June 1996. He served as Senior Vice President of Chemicals at Ethyl Corp. from January 1992 to March 1994. Prior to Ethyl, Dr. Cook was at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. for 23 years, holding a number of senior management positions, including Vice President of Printing and Publishing, Vice President of Medical Products and Vice President of Corporate Plans. Dr. Cook serves as the Chairman of the Management Committee at Integrated Environmental Technologies LLC. He has been the Chairman of Louisiana-Pacific Corp. since November 1, 2004. Donald DeVivo
Don received a BA in Physics from Vassar College in 1974 and a PhD in Political Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 1980. For the next eight years Don lived mostly in Asia working for the United Nations in the area of foreign direct investment and capital market development in emerging markets.
In 1990 Don and a partner founded several private companies in Vietnam, the largest and most important being Megastar Media. Don initially joined ZCG in 2000 with responsibilities primarily as a portfolio manager in the international sector. Between June 2005 and December 2008, Don was a Managing Partner of Caravel Management and the Chief Investment Officer of the Caravel Fund, which focuses on frontier emerging markets. He rejoined ZCG as of January 1, 2009.
Don brings to ZCG a strong hands-on understanding of emerging market cultures and politics and direct experience of operating companies and investing portfolios. He also brings seasoned maturity in providing both top-down and bottom-up analysis. He sits on the Board of Directors of LRM Industries International, Inc., Mekong Leisure Ltd, Envoy Media Ltd, Megastar Media, and Vanguard Hotels Pte. Ltd.
Mary Estabil
Mary joined ZCG in October 1995 upon the firm's opening.
Mary came from BEA Associates where she started BEA's administration of private placement securities.
At ZCG, she assists with monitoring, analysis, and research related to the international portfolio while continuing to oversee all aspects of private placement administration. She also provides in-house corporate and compliance legal work.
Having graduated from Vassar College in 1989, Mary obtained her J.D. degree at Boston University School of Law in 1992 and is a member of the New York State Bar. She sits on the Board of Directors of LRM Industries International, Inc. and is a Principal of ZCG.
Robert Winters
Robert graduated from Georgetown University with majors in International Relations and History. Thereafter, he spent two years at the law firm of Kilpatrick & Cody in Washington D.C. where he focused exclusively on analyzing international trade disputes. Building upon this experience, Robert moved to Wall Street in late 1992 and spent the next ten years, prior to joining ZCG in 2002, in equity research.
Initially at CS First Boston and thereafter at Bear Stearns, where he was a senior analyst and managing director, Robert focused primarily on all aspects of natural resources. He was instrumental in developing new areas of coverage for Bear Stearns first in the materials science sector and thereafter in the establishment of the research and banking practice for wholesale energy and power technology companies.
