The Broward Health Coral Springs (BHCS) Auxiliary recently held its 31st board installation ceremony to welcome the 2018 officers. The ceremony took place at BHCS Auxiliary’s holiday party held each year in appreciation of the board and membership’s hard work and commitment to Broward Health.

The six newly elected 2018 board members were: Risha Niziol, treasurer;

Judy Shutowick, parliamentarian and recording secretary; Janet D. Groman, vice president of ways and means; Lucrecia Michalopolous, vice president of the volunteer office; Anita Greenberg, vice president and assistant treasurer; and Claire W. Bojanoski, president.

The volunteers pledged to work in conjunction with the general membership, executive committee and board of directors in support of Broward Health Coral Springs.

“Each year we look forward to this day to celebrate the Auxiliary’s contributions and dedication in addition to installing a new board,” said Michael Leopold, chief operating officer of Broward Health Coral Springs. “Our patients benefit from their generous financial donations and our staff benefit from their volunteers hours, allowing clinicians to dedicate more time to care for our patients.”

Leopold also added that the human touch of the volunteers cannot be quantified as they provide everything from directions to a patient who is lost to sharing smiles and light-hearted moments with nurses.
