Grove Bank & Trust announces leadership changes to the Bank’s Executive Management Team.
Below is the new composition of the Bank’s Executive Leadership Team:
- Rick Kuci, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
- Jose R. Vazquez, Jr., President and Chief Lending Officer
- Charles E. Porter, President of the Trust and Wealth Management Division
- Daniel Chavez, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Rick Kuci, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated that the new structure supports the Bank’s continued emphasis on its growth and expansion plans.
Charles E. Porter, was promoted to President of the Trust and Wealth Management Division. Under his direction, the Bank successfully achieved a historical record high of $500 million in Assets under Management.
Jose R. Vazquez, Jr., was appointed President and Chief Lending Officer of Grove Bank & Trust. In this role, Mr. Vazquez will be responsible for the growth and overall profitability of the Bank’s loan and deposit portfolios. He will report directly to the Chairman and CEO and will have supervisory responsibility over the Bank’s Commercial Lending team as well as its Banking Centers and Treasury Management Services.
Kuci stated, “The Bank is excited to have Jose join our Executive Leadership Team. He‘s an accomplished and well-respected banker in the South Florida community whohas devoted his career to managing all aspects of his clients’ banking needs. He has over twenty-five years of banking experience in the South Florida marketplace and a well-earned reputation for leading teams and exceeding growth goals.”
Mr. Vazquez was most recently employed by Popular Community Bank for the past thirteen years where he served as Director of Commercial Banking for the Florida Region. He is involved in several organizations in our community including Junior Achievement, Miami-Dade College Center for Financial Training, Habitat for Humanity, the March of Dimes South Florida Chapter, Latin Builders Association and the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is an Adjunct Professor at Miami-Dade College and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Florida International University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
