The coffee chain donated $1,000 to the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation
The Joy in Childhood Foundation surprised the hospital's foundation with an additional $10,000 donation
Dunkin' Donuts' "Brewing Joy" program returned to South Florida for the second year running, by saying thank you to its guests and the local community in the best way it knows how - with coffee. Yesterday morning, to celebrate the joy and warmth of the season, local Dunkin' Donuts restaurant's located at 845 E. 49th Street in Hialeah, FL. and 2321 S. University Drive in Davie, FL., offered their first 500 guests a free hot medium coffee.
During the event, Field Marketing Manager for Dunkin' Brands, Inc., Melissa Goulette presented a $1,000 donation on behalf of the coffee chain to the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation, as well as a $10,000 donation to the same organization on behalf of the Joy in Childhood Foundation (formerly The Dunkin' Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation).
The Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation is in alignment with the mission of the Joy in Childhood Foundation, to bring joy to local kids. Those in attendance for the check presentation included Melissa Goulette; Assistant Director of Corporate and Community Relations for the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation, Yesenia Rodriguez; and Dunkin' Donuts Director of Operations and Franchisee, Luisa Aponte.
The "Brewing Joy" program runs weekdays from December 1st through December 20th, where at least one Dunkin' Donuts restaurant somewhere in the U.S. will serve up to 500 free medium-sized cups of its signature hot coffee. Dunkin' Donuts is bringing the "Brewing Joy" program to approximately 40 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in December donating more than $25,000 to local organizations to help bring joy to local children.
