Weiss Serota Helfman Cole And Bierman Adds Five New Attorneys

The law firm of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole and Bierman have added five new attorneys to its staff to augment the firm’s practices in all three South Florida locations.  Ryan Abrams, Ashley Daniels, Alicia Gonzalez, Adam Hapner and Jihan “Gigi” Soliman have joined the firm as associates.

Ryan Abrams focuses his practice on local government law.  He has experience representing various government entities including the School Board of Monroe County, Florida and the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District.  Abrams is also skilled in governmental procurement matters, government litigation, including appellate work, administrative hearings and public finance.  Abrams earned his JD from Nova Southeastern University School of Law.

Ashley Daniels concentrates her practice in the firm's Municipal Government Law practice and represents municipalities in a wide array of issues including ethics, Sunshine and public records law.  She gained experience representing local governments in the Florida panhandle at a general practice Tallahassee law firm where she provided counseling on internal personnel matters and represented these entities in employment litigation disputes. Additionally, she advised local government in general municipal law.  Daniels earned her JD from the University of Michigan Law School.

Alicia Gonzalez represents private and public sector clients in litigation matters, particularly those involving real property and local governments.  She specializes in the areas of eminent domain and inverse condemnation, and has broad experience handling complex litigation involving acquisition and valuation of private property rights, governmental regulation of private property, and disputes between businesses.  She is a former Senior Attorney and an Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Department of Transportation.  Gonzalez’s JD was earned at George Washington University School of Law.

Adam Hapner handles work in the firm’s Litigation Division, where he represents cities and their employees in a variety of complex legal matters in state and federal court. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Brian D. Lambert at the Fifth District Court of Appeal and later to the Honorable Patrick M. Hunt at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Hapner earned  his JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he graduatedcum laude.

Jihan “Gigi” Soliman works in the Firm’s Municipal Government Law and Real Estate Practice Group providing general representation to municipalities on a broad range of issues such as ethics, public records and Sunshine law.  Prior to joining the Firm, Soliman served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Miami, was counsel to the City of Miami’s Housing and Commercial Loan Committee and Wynwood Business Improvement District, and represented the City of Miami's Department of Community and Economic Development in all general matters and its real estate and loan transactions with affordable housing developers.  Soliman’s JD was earned at the University of Miami Law School, graduating cum laude.
