Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA)has partnered will GALLERYone DoubleTree Suites by Hilton to host “Serenity,” an exhibition featuring the work of nine local Florida artists that will be on display at GALLERYone DoubleTree Suites by Hilton, located at 2670 E. Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, from November 2, 2017 to April 30, 2018. There is an opening reception from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9 that is open to the public. More than 100 works from artists John Antczak, Willie Baez, Klara Chavarria, Henthorne, Andrea Huffman, Donna Lee Steffens, Isabel Perez Salazar, Carmen Smith and Melissa Vlahos will be displayed through various media such as ceramics, mixed media, fiber art, collage, oil, acrylic, photography, watercolor and Swarovski crystals on plexiglass. The exhibition also is free and open to the public and works will be displayed throughout the lobby for viewing during regular business hours. Proceeds from any of the works sold will benefit Business for the Arts of Broward and the artists. Business for the Arts Broward supports and promotes local arts and cultural non-profits and projects including such innovative programming as the free Arts Mean Business speaker series, Art in the Workplace, Cultural Tours and Artist Encounters.
