Time Out Market Miami, a food and cultural market bringing the best of the city together under one roof, announced today the appointment of Rod Gutierrez as General Manager. Gutierrez will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, hiring and training staff and ensuring guests enjoy an excellent experience at Time Out Market Miami which is slated to open in the heart of Miami Beach in 2018.
Gutierrez brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry having previously served as Executive General Manager of Naboo Management, opening a number of restaurants, bars and nightclubs in Nassau, Bahamas. He also held a variety of leadership roles at the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach, including General Manager of Michael Mina 74, which he opened, prior to which he was General Manager of the first U.S. outpost of Hakkasan Miami and then Las Vegas.
In his role at Time Out Market Miami, Gutierrez will directly report into Didier Souillat, CEO of Time Out Market, and work closely with the global Time Out Market team as well as the Time Out Miami team.

Time Out Market Miami will bring the best of the city under one roof – its best restaurants, bars and cultural experiences, based on Time Out’s editorial curation. Located at 1601 Drexel Ave, Time Out Market will be complete with 17 restaurants, three bars, one demo kitchen and an art space. Thus far, the chefs and concepts signed onto Time Out Market Miami are Chef Jose Mendín of the Pubbelly Group, Chef Michael Pirolo of Macchialina, KUSH lead by Matthew Kuscher, Coyo Taco lead by Chef Scott Linquist, BUHT-ER lead by Chef Maria Orantes, and Jugofresh and Paradigm Kitchen lead by Matthew Sherman.
Time Out Market Miami is the second food and cultural market Time Out Group plc will be opening – the first launched in 2014 in a historic market hall in Lisbon, and quickly turned into the city’s number one attraction. Following this success, the Group is now rolling out Time Out Market globally.
