A Contractor Appreciation Lunch to celebrate the Topping Off ofCypress Creek Medical Pavilion was held on Friday, October 13, 2017. The developer, Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion, LLC, represented by development partner ANF Group, hosted over 80 subcontractor personnel to a lunch catered by Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine on site at the property at 2122 West Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale. A tree placed on top of the tilt-wall medical pavilion signified the construction progress and topping off, a term meaning that the roof has been completed.
The future 82,000 SF multi-tenant medical pavilion with ambulatory surgery center began construction at 2122 West Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL in March and is on track for completion at the end of the first quarter of 2018.
Following the lunch, Al Fernandez, President of ANF Group, expressed appreciation to the crews while David Trujillo, Project Manager and Stephanie Flores, Assistant Project Manager, handed out door prizes that ranged from gift cards to tools to televisions. Commenting on the Topping Off milestone, Executive Vice President Nelson Fernandez said, “We are very excited to have reached this point after enduring incredibly challenging weather this summer. We are on track and will deliver the building on time as promised, thanks to the great team and subcontractors here today.”
Mike Carignan of Knight Electric, the electrical contractor for Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion, who was present at the luncheon, commented, “It is gratifying to be part of something bigger than yourself, like this project is, even though we are such a small part. About 75% of our work is in medical facilities. Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion is our first venture with ANF Group, and it has been very pleasurable. It is nice to work with a General Contractor that ‘gets it.’ Working with ANF Group, we’ve had a comprehensive group approach to the project. Between the shell and the ambulatory surgery center, we have had about 12 workers involved in this job. I am humbled and proud to be a part of it.”
Contractors present at the Appreciation Lunch who have contributed to the building’s progress included Salomon Roofing, Knight Electric, Hill York, Centerline Plumbing, Sunline Civil, Area Paving, Southern Fire, D&D Mobile Welding and Lotspeich Co. of Florida.
Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion is a Class “A” medical hub which will offer build-to-suit medical suites for physicians, physician groups, and other related medical services. Anchoring the facility will be a +/- 19,000-square-foot Ambulatory Surgery Center managed by Axis Health Care Partners. Amenities will include high speed internet and data, covered entry, surface parking, and an on-site café. Pre-leasing is underway, and building is approximately 60% pre-leased.
