The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale has named Jacqueline Costoya and Amanda Mitchell co-chairs of its 18th Annual Riverwalk Run. The highly-anticipated event will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

“Jacqueline and Amanda are committed and motivated Junior League members, and we know that they will do an outstanding job to make our Riverwalk Run a wonderful event and a tremendous fundraiser,” said Jill Banaszak, President of the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale.

Proceeds from the Riverwalk Run will benefit the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale’s current community projects, such as Human Trafficking Awareness, Transitioning Independent Living for Foster Care Adolescents, and Childhood Fitness and Nutrition.

The Riverwalk Run is a day of fitness and fun for the whole family. Running options are available for every level and include a USATF Certified Course for a 5-Mile run, a 5K run and a 5K Fitness walk. The event will also feature a 40 yard dash Kids’ Fun Run, lined with parents and volunteers to guide kids along the course. The route starts at Huizenga Plaza on Las Olas Boulevard, runs along the bank of the New River, wanders through the tree-lined neighborhood streets of Rio Vista, cuts through Smoker Park with views of the New River and the historic Stranahan House and finishes on the signature brick path of the Riverwalk.
