Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Hosted Kick-Off Party Onboard for its 11th Annual “Wild About Kids” Gala

On the beautiful Saturday morning of October 7th for the third year in a row, more than 75 guests boarded Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Norwegian Escape at the Port of Miami to celebrate the kick-off of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s 11th Annual “Wild About Kids” Gala. The upcoming black-tie Gala themed “A Great Gatsby” will take place on Nov. 11th, 2017 at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami in Downtown Miami.

Guests were greeted by Boys & Girls Clubs Members, from the South Beach Club who cheered as they thanked guest for attending. Guest also enjoyed a luncheon and raffle where one lucky guest won a weekend NCL cruise. Special guest and Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade supporters included Mr. Daniel Andai, Dean of Music, New World School of the Arts and renowned local Watercolor Artist, Ms.Eileen Seitz. While having lunch guest enjoyed presentations by Alex Rodriguez-Roig, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, Special Event Chair, Olga Guilarte and Board Members Marile Lopez and her husband Jorge Luis López, who is the Gala co-chair this year.

Joining Jorge Luis López as the “Wild About Kids” co-chair this year is Juan José Delgado, who, along with his wife, Gabriela Rachadell de Delgado, and the Lopezes were also co-chairs for the 10th annual event last year.

The highlight of the afternoon was the re-commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade by Andy Stuart, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Lines, who pledged to help Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virgin Islands, especially the St. Thomas Club that was hit hard by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, by sending a cruise ship and much-needed supplies to aid in their recovery.

Proceeds from the Nov. 11th “Wild About Kids” Gala will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s many positive programs. Sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are available and range from $1,000 to $100,000. Individual tickets are $500; tables (10 seats) are $5,000.
