BoardroomPR, one of Florida’s largest public relations and integrated marketing agencies, announced that it has promoted Jasmin Curtiss to Account Executive.
Curtiss joined BoardroomPR in January 2017 as an intern, before being offered a full-time position as a Public Relations Coordinator in March. Since then, she has worked on a variety of clients, including luxury real estate, non-profits, legal, and construction, and has assisted with event planning and execution, media relations and social media for both BoardroomPR and its clients.
Outside of the office, Curtiss has been working to build professional relationships, having attended various non-profit, client and networking events, including Emerge Broward.
Prior to joining BoardroomPR, Curtiss interned at several agencies in Miami and Baltimore, where she assisted with events, ribbon cuttings and grand openings, pitched and secured trend stories and assisted with media hot-spots. The New York native’s resume also includes editorial experience from her time spent working to create a magazine for college students transitioning to adulthood, as well as her stint at a South Florida-based lifestyle magazine.
“When I started as an intern, I never expected to be offered a full-time position,” said Curtiss. “I’ve learned a lot in the short time that I’ve been here, and I’m grateful that the company has trusted me to take on more responsibility. It was the best birthday surprise I could have asked for.”
Curtiss is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland and earned her degree in Communications, specializing in public relations, advertising and journalism. During her time at Loyola, she worked at the campus television station filming, producing, hosting and editing television programs, as well as promoting through social media and campus events. She also helped with the fundraising, promotion and execution of the annual fashion show and was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
“It’s been a pleasure having Jasmin on staff here at BoardroomPR,” said President of BoardroomPR, Julie Talenfeld. “We’re excited to continue to watch her grow as a publicist and see what her future here holds.”
