Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it has negotiated leases valued at more than $20 million on more than 65,000 square feet of office space at One Biscayne Tower in Miami’s CBD.
Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chairman Brian Gale, Managing Director Andrew Trench, Managing Director Ryan Holtzman and Director Jeannette Mendoza represented building owner L&B Institutional Fund in securing leases with Stantec Architecture; Research to Practice; Kaplan Zeena LLP; the Panama Maritime Authority; Banco do Brasil Securities, LLC; Wald, Gonzalez, & Graff, P.A.; Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A.; and MGM Holdings, LLC.
“The amount of leasing activity at One Biscayne Tower has been exceptional through the first three quarters of 2017,” said Gale. “We expect that demand will continue downtown, as Brickell remains extremely tight with single-digit vacancy and fewer and fewer options. Downtown is well positioned over the next couple of years to absorb space and increase the occupancy rate”
Stantec Architecture
Stantec Architecture renewed its existing lease on the 16th floor of One Biscayne Tower and expanded by an additional 9,500 square feet. The firm now leases over 22,000 square feet on the 15th and 16th floors.

The company, which has eight offices in South Florida, offers a broad spectrum of expertise in engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management and project economics.

Research to Practice renewed its 13,426-square-foot headquarters lease on One Biscayne Tower’s 36th floor.
Research To Practice has specialized in the oncology and hematology education of physicians and allied health professionals for more than 25 years.
Kaplan Zeena LLP
Kaplan Zeena LLP relocated its office to One Biscayne Tower, leasing 9,020 square feet on the building’s 30th floor. The law firm specializes in business litigation, construction defect and design professional defense, employment law, professional liability defense and securities and broker-dealer defense.
Panama Maritime Authority
The Panama Maritime Authority, the top ship registry in the world with more than 8,000 vessels under the Panamanian flag, relocated its New York office to Miami. It will occupy 6,405 square feet on the One Biscayne Boulevard’s 24th floor.
Banco do Brasil (Bank of Brazil) Securities, LLC
Banco do Brasil (Bank of Brazil) Securities, LLC renewed its 4,744-square-foot lease on the 31st floor of One Biscayne Tower. Banco do Brasil Securities, LLC is a subsidiary of Banco do Brasil S.A., the second-largest Brazilian and Latin American bank. Banco do Brasil S.A. was founded in 1808 and is the oldest active bank in Brazil, and one of the oldest banks in continuous operation in the world. It is controlled by the Brazilian government and is headquartered in Brasília.
Wald, Gonzalez, & Graff, P.A.
The law firm of Wald, Gonzalez & Graff, P.A. renewed its 3,503-square-foot lease on the 35th floor of One Biscayne Tower.
Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A.
The law firm of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A. renewed its 3,110-square-foot lease on the 17th floor One Biscayne Tower.
