Lanette Suarez

The Fort Lauderdale office of Fisher Phillips, LLP announced that Lanette Suarez has joined as an associate. Fisher Phillips is a nationwide law firm focused on labor, employment, civil rights, employee benefits and immigration matters.

Suarez recently earned her JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was Executive Editor of the University of Miami Law Review. She authored the Comment, Restraints, Seclusion and the Disabled Student, 71 U. Miami. L. Rev. 859 (2017).She was alsoa member of the Hispanic Law Students Association and a Miami Law Student Ambassador.

She gained experience as a clerk with Astigarraga Davis, now Sequor Law in Miami, and with the Honorable Jose Martinez in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Prior to attending law school, Suarez was a 2012 Teach for America Corps Member where she taught kindergarten in Miami-Dade.
