World-renowned marine artist to create custom design for world’s largest in-water boat show
Informa Exhibitions, the organizers of the 58th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) are pleased to announce that world-renowned marine artist, conservationist, scientist and angler Guy Harvey will provide the official 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show merchandise this year. An exclusive Guy Harvey design for FLIBS 2017 will be unveiled before the show, which is set to take place from Wednesday November 1 through Sunday, November 5, 2017.
Dr. Harvey, who started his career as an artist selling t-shirts at FLIBS 31 years ago, has been at the show selling his art and officially licensed merchandise, as well as meeting fans, every year since. Other events for which Dr. Harvey has created official designs for are NASCAR, various country music festivals and more. “The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show holds a special place in my heart, as it helped to launch my career as an artist and has allowed me to be in the public eye ever since,” said Dr. Harvey. “I’m honored to see my art used for this year’s official souvenir merchandise and hope to continue our professional relationship for years to come.”
Fans will be able to purchase short-sleeved cotton t-shirts, long-sleeved performance shirts, posters, drinkware and other merchandise featuring the official design. Official FLIBS souvenir merchandise can be found at three locations this year:

About Guy Harvey
Guy Harvey is a unique blend of artist, scientist, diver, angler, conservationist and explorer, fiercely devoted to his family and his love of the sea. His childhood passion for the ocean and its living creatures not only inspired him to draw, but fueled a burning interest that prompted a formal education in marine science. Having graduated with honors in Marine Biology from Aberdeen University in Scotland in 1977, Guy returned home to Jamaica to resume his education, earning his Ph.D. from the University of the West Indies in 1984. Though he gave up a budding career as a marine biologist for that of a highly acclaimed artist, Guy has continued his relentless pursuit to unravel the mysteries of the sea, traveling the world to better understand the habits and habitats of the marine wildlife he paints.
