BBX Capital today announced that it is planning to open its first franchised MOD Pizza store in the city of Parkland in late September, at the Shoppes of Parkland. Known for its individual, artisan-style pizza and salads and people-first culture, Florida’s first MOD Pizza will be located at 7171 N. State Road 7. The 2,400-square foot Parkland store will include a large outdoor patio and MOD’s signature “Wall of Fame,” a photo collage that pays homage to the local community and people from the MOD journey. BBX Capital, a franchisee of MOD Pizza, will be partnering with a local non-profit for its MOD Pizza grand opening, who will receive 100% of all pizza sales from opening day.

BBX Capital plans to open four additional MOD stores in Florida in 2017, with locations already confirmed in Coral Springs, Kendall and Jacksonville. In 2018, it plans to add approximately 10-12 stores in the Florida market. BBX Capital is MOD's exclusive franchisee for the state of Florida with the goal of developing up to 60 MOD locations throughout the state over the next five to seven years.
MOD’s individual, artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces. Customers create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of over 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. The price always remains the same regardless of the number of toppings. Pizzas are hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in just minutes and salads are individually hand-tossed for each customer. The menu is rounded out with handspun milkshakes, house-made lemonades and iced teas, and local craft beers and wine.
