South Florida-based Big Dog Construction Services, Inc. (BDCSI) is growing. The company, which focuses on commercial and subcontracting construction services from Miami to West Palm Beach, has hired Tom Lindner as Director of Pre-Construction Services. He will oversee client services, manage incoming contracts as well as optimize standard practices and procedures.

Lindner most recently worked for Charter Schools USA, the Broward County School District and JM Family Enterprises in high-level facility management roles. Before joining the private sector, he earned his degree in engineering management from the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a Commander in the United States Navy.

As Area Director for Charter Schools USA, Lindner managed facilities operations and executed new school start-ups during a rapid-growth period when the company’s portfolio doubled in four years. He was tasked with creating operating and capital budgets and executing vital repairs for the organization, which maintained a portfolio of 1.5 million square feet in seven states.

“Tom’s depth of experience in project management and supervising operations with dozens of active projects is exactly what Big Dog Construction Services needs for us to take the next step in our growth,” said President David Rosenof.

Rosenof said in addition to hiring Lindner, Big Dog has brought on a strategic investment partner to provide new capital for that growth.

This past year, BDCSI has provided building services through general contracting and subcontract construction services at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport’s Terminal 1, Barry University, Florida Atlantic University, Persist Communications, Max Urban Millwork in Pompano Beach and the ILoveKickBoxing.com studio in Coral Springs, among others. This work is in addition to BDCSI’s successful high-end residential and consulting services. BDCSI is certified as both a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and a County Business Enterprise (CBE) by the Office of Economic and Small Business Development.
