Delray Beach Based Mortgage Bankers Arrange $24,750,000 of Financing for Trader Joe’s Anchored Center

Craig Romer and Chris Romer of Dockerty Romer & Co. have arranged permanent mortgage financing in the amount of $24,750,000 for an anchored retail property located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

The subject property, known as 1600 Commons, is a 100% leased 80,033 SF anchored retail center which is comprised of seven individual buildings. The Property is ideally positioned along the east side of Federal Highway (US-1) in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The anchor tenants include Trader Joe’s, Nordstrom Rack and Office Depot. The Property is located approximately two miles northeast of downtown Ft. Lauderdale and one mile west of the Atlantic Ocean beaches.

Dockerty Romer & Co. arranged the financing through New York Life Real Estate Investors on behalf of their client which is a global real estate investment manager. New York Life provided a competitive 10 year, fixed-rate interest only mortgage. Romer commented that, “Both the investor and lender were highly focused and professional in all areas of this transaction.” Romer also commented that, “New York Life provided an excellent debt structure which will allow our client to execute on their long-term business plan for this asset.”
