Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that 40 of its attorneys have been included in the 2017 Florida Super Lawyers list, and an additional 22 were named Rising Stars – twice as many ‘Rising Stars’ as last year.
‘Best of the best’
Lawyers who receive the highest point totals during the annual selection process are further recognized in Florida Super Lawyers’ “best of the best” top lists.
Notably, Elaine Bucher’s addition to the “Top 10 lawyers in Florida” list marks the first time a Gunster attorney has made it to that particular list – and she’s the only woman on the 2017 list.
Gunster’s standout honorees in 2017 are:
Florida Super Lawyers
Florida Super Lawyers recognizes up to 5 percent of the state’s attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Florida Super Lawyers also recognizes Rising Stars, which represent fewer than 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers under the age of 40, or who have practiced law for fewer than 10 years, and who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

|Business/Corporate Stephanie Quinones||Estate & Probate Elizabeth Bowers||Land Use / Zoning Allison E. Turnbull|
Super Lawyers recognizes outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
In 2016, Gunster had a total of 50 Florida Super Lawyers honorees (39 + 11 Rising Stars).
The firm’s attorneys continue to maintain a strong presence among lawyers listed by organizations such as Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, Best Lawyers in America, and Chambers USA’s Leaders in Their Field.
Creative works by lawyers
Gunster attorney and Florida Super Lawyer honoree David Bates was further recognized in the 2017 magazine, with a profile on his nature photography.
Where the wild things are is a collection of Bates’ photographs, along with his musings on the craft of photographing wildlife.
