Tropical Financial Credit Union Holds Grand Opening Celebration for New Kendall Branch

6/22/17

The new location offers expanded services and Saturday hours

Tropical Financial Credit Union is growing in Miami-Dade County.  The credit union recently opened a new full-service branch at 8857 Southwest 107th Avenue, Suite 260, in Kendall.  It replaces an office farther west in Kendall that functioned primarily as a lending center. The new branch is set up to handle traditional banking transactions with tellers, take applications for loans and mortgages, open new accounts and is now open on Saturdays.

On Wednesday, June 21, the credit union held a grand opening celebration attended by employees, members and local business leaders.   Frank Balzebre, a representative from the Miami-Dade County Mayor’s office, presented a proclamation welcoming Tropical Financial to the neighborhood.  Sandra Fernandez, chair of the Greater Kendall Business Association was also on hand for the ceremony.

“Now that we are centrally located and offering more branch services, we can better take care of our growing membership base in the Kendall area,” said Rich Helber, president and CEO.

The manager of the new Kendall branch is Erick Padron.

Tropical Financial has nine branches throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties and also does business in six other counties in Southeastern and Southwest Florida.
