Seven Attorneys In Hinshaw's Miami Office Named 2017 Florida Super Lawyers

The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce thatsevenattorneys in its Miami officehave been recognized in the 2017 Florida Super Lawyers edition. Partners Ronald L. Kammer, Sina Bahadoran and Andrew Grigsby, and Of Counsel Attorney ElizabethS. Baker, were named Florida Super Lawyers, while PartnersPedro E. Hernandez and Eric A. Hiller, and Associate Michele A. Vargaswere named Florida Super Lawyer ‘Florida Rising Stars’.

Kammer is the National Business Unit Leader of the firm’s Insurance Practice and co-partner-in-charge of the firm’s Miami office. He focuses on the representation of business and professional liability insurers and has handled cases throughout the state of Florida, including the Florida Supreme Court and nationally including lead counsel for insurers in several multi-district matters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel (ACCEC) and Past National Co-Chair for the American Bar Association's Trial Evidence Committee and Insurance Coverage Litigation Committees. Kammer holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.

Bahadoran exclusively represents insurance companies in high profile insurance coverage litigation and market conduct (bad faith) matters throughout the United States. He focuses primarily on commercial general liability, errors and omissions (lawyers, agents, accountants), directors and officers, and employment practices liability policies. As national counsel for several insurers, he has handled litigation in approximately 41 states, most frequently in the southeast. He is a member of the firm's Executive Committee, and a previous co-chair of the firm's Insurance Services Practice Group. Bahadoran holds a J.D. from Boston College School of Law.

Grigsby has a civil trial practice that includes extensive experience in cases emphasizing insurance issues. He has handled trials and appeals in matters involving insurance coverage, bad faith, uninsured motorist claims, insurance broker errors, omissions and property claims. He has also been trial and appellate counsel in litigation over general tort claims and accidents involving heavy vehicles and equipment, including tractor-trailers, cranes and railroads. Grigsby holds a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan School of Law.

Baker, a Florida Board Certified marital and family lawyer, focuses her practice in family and domestic litigation at the trial and appellate levels. Baker has, through her more than 4,000 hours of pro bono work and her private practice representation, contributed greatly to the advancement of the Family Law Bar in Florida. She has received several awards recognizing her efforts, including the 2015 Goucher College Alumnae/Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Service, The Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award 2015- 11th Judicial Circuit, the Spectrum Award for Women and the American Red Cross in 2014. Baker holds a J.D. from University of Maryland School of Law.

Hernandez focuses his practice in the areas of insurance coverage,commercial and construction litigation Hernandez represents insurers in class actions and in multidistrict litigation including MDL 2047 pertaining to Chinese drywall products liability litigation. He has also handled complex commercial matters, including disputes involving Fortune 100/500 companies. Hernandez holds a J.D. from Pennsylvania State University, The Dickinson School of Law.

Hiller represents insurance companies in high profile insurance coverage litigation matters throughout the US. He focuses primarily on commercial general liability, errors and omissions (lawyers, agents, accountants), directors and officers, and employment practices liability policies. Hiller also counsels clients regularly on claims handling, policy drafting, and product development. He holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.

Vargas devotes the majority of her practice to insurance coverage and defense litigation that often involvemulti-million-dollar claims in a variety of areas including commercial general liability, director and officer liability, and excess liability, as well as personal lines. Vargas holds a J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law.
