John Moriarty & Associates of Florida (JMAF), a South Florida-based general contractor and construction management firm whose portfolio includes landmark buildings throughout the tri-county area, has been named “Corporate Philanthropist of the Year” by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Southern Florida. This honor recognizes Moriarty’s outstanding support of community initiatives across Broward County, enhancing the quality of life for individuals with cancer across the region. Moriarty raised approximately $168,000 over the 10-week “Man & Woman of the Year” fundraising campaign.
Moriarty was recognized at the Society's "Man & Woman of the Year 10th Anniversary Grand Finale” on June 2, 2017 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Moriarty has been an active supporter of the local Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since 2007, helping raise money through annual fundraising initiatives including Light the Night, Team in Training, and Man & Woman of the Year, and by volunteer support. Moriarty's contributions have helped the Society advance its mission, and put more dollars toward breakthrough research and patient services programs that directly benefit local residents in need of co-pay, travel assistance, educational materials on blood cancer, and bilingual support services.
