Fisher Phillips announced that Fort Lauderdale Partner Charles Caulkins was featured in Chambers USA 2017 in the highest ranking for excellence in labor and employment law. In addition, the Fisher Phillips offices in Florida were ranked among the top labor and employment law firms. Caulkins has been consistently listed in Chambers USA since 2002.
Each year, Chambers USA publishes a list of the top law firms and attorneys across the United States. It determines rankings through thousands of in-depth interviews with randomly selected attorneys, clients and businesses.
Charles Caulkins serves on Fisher Phillips’ national Management Committee. Since 1977, he has represented employers nationally in labor and employment law matters. He advises employers on the development and implementation of preventive labor relations programs to avoid charges and lawsuits, protect trade secrets, and resolve disputes.
Caulkins is a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and has also served as Chair of the Broward Workshop, a local CEO group, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. He is also a founding member and past President of the Academy of Florida Management Attorneys.
For his extensive work in labor and employment law, Caulkins is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2006, as well as in Florida Super Lawyers Magazine since 2007. He has also been named among the Top 100 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys by Human Resource Executive every year since 2010.
Caulkins is admitted to the Bars of Florida, South Carolina and Kansas. He earned his LL.M. in Labor Law from New York University School of Law, his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, and a B.A. from Monmouth College.
