Montaner has over 30 years of banking experience in the South Florida market, most recent having worked for Banesco USA and Fifth Third Bank where he oversaw the Commercial and Industrial Banking Divisions.

Montaner also worked for Dresdner Bank/Lateinamerika and BankBoston International where he managed the Corporate and Trade Finance Divisions responsible for corporate middle market lending at both banking institutions. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Banking from Florida International University and a Graduate Degree in Banking from Louisiana State University. Montaner is a former board member of the YMCA of Greater Miami, Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), Trade Finance Committee and The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
