As director of special events & development, Sanchez handles the overseeing, implementation and execution of a strategic fundraising plan, which includes special events, cause-specific fundraising initiatives, affinity groups, corporate donations, and in-kind resources.

She most recently worked for government clientele as a public information officer for two years. Before that time, she served as a marketing coordinator/intern for Billboard magazine. She holds a Bachelor of Science in editing, writing and media; with a minor in communications from Florida State University.

Torres, as administrative assistant, ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the office, and supports the work of management and other staff. Before joining Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, she worked for six years in retail, including three years as a store manager for Champs Sports. She holds an associate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University, and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s from Florida International University in psychology, with a concentration in human resources.
