The day began in front of the Amway Center with the Orlando Magic Fan Fest presented by Chase, a street fest showcasing Indian culture through dance, cuisine and other unique activities. The fun continued as the Orlando Magic defeated the Atlanta Hawks (105-86). There were a variety of cultural inclusions throughout the game, including the Orlando Magic Dancers performing in traditional Bollywood style and a third quarter private reception. The NBA has named Indian Cultural Night as the "Best Heritage Night in the NBA" two years in a row. The India Day Celebration is produced by a volunteer committee from the IACC led by: Dr. Amish M. Parikh (Chair, India Day) and Dr. Varesh Patel (Co-Chair, India Day and President, IACC).

"We are proud to partner with the Indian-American Chamber of Commerce for the fifth consecutive year to host India Day presented by Chase," said Orlando Magic CEO, Alex Martins. "Sports truly is a rallying point that can bring all people together and speak any language. India Day is just one way for the Magic to show its appreciation to this segment of our fan base for their support and dedication."

"The Magic supports efforts which reach out to our entire community and we're so proud of the success with our fifth India Day and our collaboration with the Indian-American Chamber of Commerce," said Orlando Magic Chief Operating Officer, Charlie Freeman

Recognized as the voice of the Indo-American community in Central Florida, The Indian American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) is a nonprofit organization representing an estimated one billion dollars in annual economic activity to the United States.
