About the American Entrepreneurship Award

Now in its second year, the American Entrepreneurship Award focuses on identifying promising entrepreneurs in Miami-Dade County, Florida and the Bronx, New York, whose business plans exhibit sustainability, innovation and a positive impact on the local communities. Launched with an initial $500,000 commitment from its founding partner, The Libra Group, AEA provides winners with a share of $125,000 in business start-up funding, as well as mentorship and business support services. The Group was inspired to create the award after becoming a founding sponsor of the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBK Alliance), a non-profit organization launched by President Obama aimed at eliminating opportunity and achievement gaps for boys and young men of color.
