BBVA Compass has appointed Miami-area real estate professional Austin Hollo to its South Florida advisory board, where he will help the bank identify opportunities for growth in the market.
Hollo is the vice president at Florida East Coast Realty, a family-owned residential and commercial developer, based in Miami and founded six decades ago by his grandfather, Tibor Hollo. Austin, focuses on the development of projects, the marketing and positioning of existing properties and the coordination of management and leasing activities. He is also involved in all financing efforts and has responsibility for the company’s insurance portfolio and underwriting of real estate acquisitions and investments.
“Austin is well-known in the South Florida business community and his ties to it run deep,” said BBVA Compass South Florida CEO Roberto Munoz. “We expect his depth of knowledge and love for the Miami community will be to our and our clients’ benefit, and we couldn’t be more pleased to welcome him to our board.”
Hollo is an active member in the community, and serves as the Chair-Elect for the New Leaders Taskforce for the Beacon Council. He is also a member of the Developing Leaders Group for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) South Florida Chapter, the Young Leaders Group for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Southeast Florida, and the United Way of Miami-Dade Young Leaders. He also has served on the New World Center Livability Task Force for Downtown Miami and lectured at Florida International University’s Hollo School of Real Estate.
Hollo graduated from the Olin School of Business at Washington University with bachelors in Finance and Marketing, and a minor in Organizational Psychology.
