Experienced attorney in asbestos and toxic tort litigation joins growing Boca Raton firm 

Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann announced that Peter Frommer has joined the firm as a senior attorney. Frommer will augment the firm’s existing team in its robust practice regarding asbestos and toxic tort litigation. 

Frommer has represented asbestos manufacturers and retailers in Florida for nearly twenty years.    His practice has included hundreds of cases throughout the state and he has handled summary judgment and other contested hearings before every asbestos Court in Florida, as well as the Asbestos Multi District Litigation (MDL) in Philadelphia.   In addition, he is called upon by out-of-state law firms to cover plaintiff and co-worker depositions taking place in Florida.

Frommer’s clients include manufacturers of industrial equipment, electrical components, boilers, pumps, as well as premises owners and contractors.  Additionally, since the Florida Asbestos Act went into effect in July 2005, Frommer has navigated the changing landscape of mesothelioma and non-malignant asbestos case filings in Florida. 

He comes to Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann from the multinational firm of Goldberg Segalla where he represented some of the world’s leading manufacturers and retailers of asbestos and benzene products.   He also spent 10 years at Hinshaw Culbertson, a 500-plus attorney firm, with a practice devoted to toxic tort and commercial litigation throughout Florida.

Frommer earned his JD from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and is admitted to practice law in in all Federal and State Courts in Florida, as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell in Toxic Torts, Product Liability, Business and Commercial Litigation, which is the highest rating attainable in legal ability and ethical standards.
