HeartWell’s own Dr. Ian Del Conde is a Clinical Cardiologist who specializes in vascular diseases.  In addition to being an experienced cardiologist, he is fellowship-trained and board certified in Vascular Medicine. He focuses on conditions that affect the arterial, venous, and lymphatic systems, treating them as a whole entity, and assessing their impact on patient health.

He comes to HeartWell, LLP from the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute, where he headed up the Vascular Medicine program. With this experience, he has developed tremendous expertise in identifying and diagnosing vascular disorders. Dr. Del Conde routinely sees patients with peripheral artery disease, carotid and renal artery disease, resistant hypertension, arterial aneurysms and dissection, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, venous insufficiency and lymphedema, among others.

In addition to these more common ailments, Dr. Del Conde is skilled at identifying and treating rarer conditions, such as vasculitis and fibromuscular dysplasia. Dr. Del Conde’s credentials include internship and residency in internal medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School, in Boston, and fellowship training in cardiology and Vascular Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, and is an accredited Hypertension Specialist. He is an active investigator in numerous clinical trials looking at cutting-edge therapies for vascular diseases.
