Holy Cross Hospital Golf Classic Tees Off on February 8

The Harry T. Mangurian, Jr. Foundation presents the Seventh Annual Holy Cross Hospital Golf Classic benefiting the Partners in Breast Health community outreach program at the Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women’s Center beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8 at Coral Ridge Country Club, 2801 Bayview Drive in Fort Lauderdale.

The Holy Cross Hospital Partners in Breast Health community outreach program provides women with mammograms and diagnostic testing in the hope of reducing late stage breast cancer diagnosis and cancer mortality in underserved communities in Broward County through early detection, which ultimately saves lives.

Registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m. with the tournament start time at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $625 per player or $2,500 per foursome and includes lunch, golfing, cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions and an awards presentation.

Sheri Whittington is chairperson of the Golf Classic and Doreen Koenig is Chair Eternal.

ABOUT PARTNERS IN BREAST HEALTH:

The Partners in Breast Health community outreach program provides women with mammograms and diagnostic testing in the hope of reducing late stage breast cancer diagnosis and cancer mortality in underserved communities in Broward County through early detection, which ultimately saves lives. PIBH accesses the services of the Holy Cross Hospital’s mobile medical health unit and community outreach staffto visit underserved communities that have the highest percentage of poor quality health indicators, are uninsured and lack access to healthcare. Since the PIBH program began providing access to screening and diagnostic mammography services in November 2011, more than 3,000 women have received services. Fifty percent of women diagnosed through the program are under 50 years of age.
