Marriott International, Caribbean And Latin America Names Diamond Public Relations Agency Of Record

Diamond Public Relations has added Marriott International’s Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) portfolio to its roster of award-winning travel and tourism clients, overseeing overall brand awareness within the region. The bi-coastal agency headquartered in Miami, will manage North American public relations efforts for Marriott International’s ten brands throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, with a main objective of increasing awareness and encouraging travel to Marriott hotels and resorts within the region.

Today, Marriott International’s presence in the region is represented by 115 hotels in 26 countries and territories, offering 26,141 rooms and spanning ten lodging brands: The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts in the luxury tier; Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International’s signature brand; Renaissance Hotels and the Autograph Collection in the lifestyle category; Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn & Suites in the moderately-priced tier; and Marriott Executive Apartments and Residence Inn by Marriott in the extended stay category. In addition, Marriott Vacation Club International, Marriott's timeshare ownership division, offers three resorts in two countries.

Marriott International (including The Ritz-Carlton) has more than 66 hotels under development in the region and expects to have more than 150 hotels by 2017 across ten lodging brands in 26 countries and territories.
