Vance to Lead HR Committee as Member of GMCC 2016-2017 Board of Directors
The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in South Florida, representing more than 400,000 employees of member companies. Vance will serve a one-year term as Chairman of the HR committee, which designs programs for small business owners, executives, and human resources professionals, and offers an informative forum to discuss relevant and timely human resources-related topics. The new GMCC board of directors will commence its tenure during the GMCC’s 2016 Goals Conference on June 16-17 at the Hilton Miami Downtown.
As Chairman, Vance seeks to grow and diversify committee membership, enhance member engagement, and strengthen the educational component of its programs.
“I am honored to serve on the board of directors for such an important organization in our business community,” said Vance. “I look forward to providing quality educational and support programs for our members to discuss the ever-evolving HR landscape.”
Vance focuses his practice on labor and employment litigation and other types of business litigation. Vance is board-certified by the Florida Bar in labor and employment law, and is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and his B. A. from Vanderbilt University. In addition to his position with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Vance is also Interim Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunrise Community, Inc., a national leader in providing residential and habilitation services for people with a wide range of intellectual and physical disabilities.
