Feeding South Florida Appoints Henry Del Campo to Board of Directors

Paco Vélez, CEO of Feeding South Florida®, today announced that Henry Del Campo, relationship manager for Global Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in South Florida, has been appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors for a three-year term.

The Board of Directors of Feeding South Florida is a dedicated and passionate group of individuals committed to the mission of ending hunger in South Florida. According to Feeding South Florida’s records, 785,040 individuals in South Florida struggle to put food on the table; 280,630 of those are children and 150,000 are older adults. The food insecurity rate in South Florida is 13.7 percent.

Del Campo has volunteered with Feeding South Florida for the past two years and has been actively involved with the nonprofit’s produce and backpack programs, as well as sorting food at the main warehouse. In addition, he has often volunteered with Habitat for Humanity® and KAPOW (Kids and the Power of Work). With KAPOW, he served as a business volunteer, meeting monthly with elementary and middle school students to introduce them to career awareness through customized lessons.

Whether through encouraging volunteerism or financial support, Bank of America is committed to helping to build thriving communities by supporting organizations like Feeding South Florida that provide basic human services to those in the greatest need.

Del Campo holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University in Tallahassee and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Florida International University in Miami. He is a graduate of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami® class of 2012 and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
