Clinics Can Help, a West Palm Beach-based nonprofit organization helping to enable access to healthcare to all through the donation of medical equipment and supplies, is pleased to welcome the addition of Adam Lacey to its Board of Directors.
Lacey, a West Palm Beach resident, is a Financial Advisor and Assistant Vice President of Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors in South Florida. He is responsible for advising families and business owners on investments, credit and lending, risk management, and estate planning. He holds a Master in Business Administration with a focus on finance from the University of Miami’s School of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Pennsylvania State University.
Coming from a family of medical professionals, Lacey was intrigued with the mission of Clinics Can Help and inspired by the nonprofit’s founder, Owen O’Neill. “Owen's enthusiasm and passion about this mission is inspirational. He recognized a need, and, as a result, Clinics Can Help has been instrumental in providing medical equipment to thousands in our community,” says Lacey.
Clinics Can Help (CCH) accepts gently used and new durable medical equipment from individuals and companies and makes it available to patients who may not otherwise be able to afford such expensive equipment for their physical recovery. It is the only organization of its kind in Florida and one of only three in the U.S. that provides this critical assistance. Part of its services include The Lending Closet, where clients can borrow equipment, such as wheelchairs and hospital beds, and return them to be used by others.
During its first decade of service, CCH has served over 7,000 clients with the provision of more than $4 million worth of medical equipment. In 2015 alone, CCH was able to assist over 1,900 children by donating over $821,000 worth of medical equipment and supplies.
After five years in its current location off Latham Road, Clinic Can Help is launching a $2 million capital campaign to fund a move to larger facilities that will allow it to meet a growing need. Mr. Lacey, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors, serves as Chair of the Brick Paving Campaign for the new facility.
