SWAY PR, the public relations division of Commonground/MGS, was recently selected as a finalist for PR News Platinum PR Award in the Community Relations category. The agency received this honor in recognition for its outstanding work in the development and implementation of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) Advantage Program, a customer loyalty program rewarding frequent expressway commuter with rebates on the tolls they pay.
The MDX Advantage Program was developed and introduced in August 2014, and launched in January 2015. SWAY's integrated marketing communications campaign sought to generate awareness about program benefits, while boosting enrollment. Within a span of four months, the campaign exceeded its original enrollment objective by 150%, with over 33,000 users registered. An accompanying media relations effort secured coverage with a total audience amounting to roughly one-third of the Miami-Dade County population.
The finalists of the Platinum PR Awards set industry standards for excellence across all areas of PR.
