Florida’s Children First (FCF), a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the rights of at-risk children, announced that Miles A. McGrane, III has been appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors.
The FCF Board and Advisory Board are comprised of attorneys, subject-matter experts and other professionals committed to achieving greater reform in the systems that affect children.
Mr. McGrane served as President of The Florida Bar from 2003-2004 and declared his year as president, "The Year of the Child.” He has been actively involved in the Bar, also serving on the Board of Governors. Additionally, Mr. McGrane has served on The House of Delegates of The American Bar Association, the board of The Florida Bar Foundation, was Chair of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 11th Judicial Circuit, Chair of the Judicial Qualifications Commission and most recently was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to serve on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners.
Among his many accomplishments, the Legal Services of Greater Miami awarded Mr. McGrane with the Campaign for Justice Award and its Leadership Award. He was also bestowed with the Supreme Court of Florida Leadership Commendation Award and has been named to the Florida Atlantic University Hall of Fame.
Currently, he is a Mediator with Salmon & Dulberg Dispute Resolution.
